This two part, 8 hour webinar provides a foundational understanding of group work and the basic skills required to facilitate groups. The content is delivered in a highly interactive and experiential way using small and large group discussions.
The topics covered include:Ā
- Defining types of groupsĀ
- stages of group developmentĀ
- Roles and tasks of facilitators
- Group facilitation skills and managing challenging group situations.Ā
- There will also be a special focus on remote/virtual groups in this course.Ā
Training FormatĀ
This workshop will simulate a group experience. The participants will be asked to actively participate in discussions in small/large group activities.Ā Participants are required to be on camera and have access to a microphone.Ā
