Group Facilitation Theory & Skills -January 15 & 16, 2026

This two part, 8 hour webinar provides a foundational understanding of group work and the basic skills required to facilitate groups. The content is delivered in a highly interactive and experiential way using small and large group discussions.

The topics covered include:Ā 

  • Defining types of groupsĀ 
  • stages of group developmentĀ 
  • Roles and tasks of facilitators
  • Group facilitation skills and managing challenging group situations.Ā 
  • There will also be a special focus on remote/virtual groups in this course.Ā 

Training FormatĀ 

This workshop will simulate a group experience. The participants will be asked to actively participate in discussions in small/large group activities.Ā  Participants are required to be on camera and have access to a microphone.Ā
